About

Haley Algrant is a recent Harvard College graduate. She majored in Art, Film, and Visual Studies, as well as Classics with a minor in History. As part of her work, she completed a thesis combining Classics and Visual Arts, titled The Joy of Being Bad: The Scripta Puella in Augustan Rome and Reagan’s America. It explored how male authors depict their female characters in a purposefully inconsistent way with a moralizing message, including both a written argument and a public gallery exhibit with doll-like depictions of characters. She believes that popular media and its effects on women’s experiences is very important. Currently Haley is pursuing art and design careers
